General Impression:

Infinology Web Hosting has been known for providing cheap dedicated web hosting. They have opened a new division to provide shared web hosting plans, which is what we focus upon.  These plans come with huge amounts of disk space and bandwidth that you cannot find anywhere else - 9000 MB of disk space and 50 GB of bandwidth!  But care must be taken when choosing Infinology Web Hosting. After further review by our staff and a large email volume from users, we have dropped Infinology down to the #7 position. It seems that lack of customer support and server downtime is progressively getting worse and worse. We suggest you stay away from this company. There is also a large user response that states that the 9GB of disk space and 50 GB of transfer, is in fact, too good to be true. We suggest you stay away from Infinology at this time.


Price & Cost Effectiveness:

They offer 3 plans with 2 under $10 a month (if only you order for 1 year) however they require a $50 setup fee, which includes a free domain name. Their site design and navigation are very messy and thus looking for information is quite troublesome. Sometimes, a feature is said to be offered in a page but is not stated in another page. For example, they claimed to offer 2000 sub domains (SU1200) in the very first page that lists all the plans. When you click on the 'details link', you won't even find the word sub domains in the details list. You also won't find it in the comparison chart, or in the order form. We found this to be quite misleading.

You also won't get many features. The SU1000 plan does not support SSI and PHP. Both plans also did not support MySQL and web-based email. They put them as Available* in their comparison chart (Available* - May require additional setup or recurrent fees). Many features are not clearly stated. Can be deceptive.

 Connectivity:

This is their strong suit. Servers (from our experience, have been pretty stable and reliable.) Speeds are good, however, we will continue to monitor their servers and provide you with updates.

Customer Service :

The good news is they provide toll free support. They have 2 toll free numbers 1-800-699-2517 (Sales and Support) and 1-888-667-3467 (Sales). These numbers can only be reached from USA and Canada.

The bad news is, is that it's pretty hard to get through to them. It seems that when we called on Sunday 4pm P.S.T., we got a recorded message that said "Due to a high call volume, all of our operators are busy. Please call back later." And our phone call was automatically disconnected. Infinology Web Hosting seems to never answer the phone during off hours, when then claim to do so. Email support is even worse, as there are long delays in answering emails.

Finally, as you can see on the left hand side, a company that uses a "PO BOX" for their mailing address also concerns us. It usually means that the Office Operations are performed out of non-professional operation.
